NEW SENIORS GUIDE --- Pre-orders are being accepted for the State Bar’s popular Seniors & the Law: A Guide for Maturing Californians, which will be published again this spring and distributed free throughout the state.
$258,000 --- Organizations that provide legal services and education throughout California were awarded 37 grants totaling $258,000 from the California Bar Foundation.
LEGAL SPEC EXAM --- The exam to become certified as a legal specialist will be administered Aug. 9. The State Bar certifies specialists in 11 fields of law.
PUBLIC COMMENT --- The State Bar is seeking public comment on a number of issues, including proposed guidelines for accredited law school rules and proposed resignation eligibility requirements.
