THREE WEEKS --- The State Bar’s annual fee statement was mailed Dec. 1 to all active attorneys and all inactive lawyers under the age of 70. Dues must be paid by Feb. 2.

MCLE GROUP 2 --- Members of MCLE compliance group 2 (last names H through M) face a Feb. 2 deadline to complete 25 hours of continuing education courses.

MCLE CREDIT --- Attorneys can earn MCLE credit at the Section Education Institute (Jan. 16-18) and the Solo and Small Firm Summit (Jan. 15-16).

PAMPHLETS --- The State Bar offers consumer education pamphlets addressing subjects such as divorce, debt, domestic violence, hiring a lawyer, estate planning and becoming a lawyer.

JOIN A COMMITTEE --- The State Bar is recruiting applicants for approximately 170 positions on more than three dozen committees, boards and commissions.

LASOC --- Applications are sought from attorneys interested in serving on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid Society of Orange County (LASOC) for one vacant position.

MORE PARTNERS --- A new group of affinity partners who provide tools and services to assist attorneys with marketing their practices have joined CalBar Connect, the State Bar's members-only Web site.
