EVALUATING JUDGES --- Active California lawyers, former judges and members of the public are invited to submit an application by June 2 to serve on the 2009 Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation (JNE).
PATHWAYS TO JUSTICE --- More than 40 MCLE classes will be offered at the Pathways to Justice statewide legal services conference, June 5-7 in Los Angeles.
SBC JUDGES SOUGHT --- The State Bar Court is accepting applications for the positions of one review judge and one hearing judge. Deadline is June 13.
CANDIDATES --- Twelve attorneys have announced their candidacy for a seat on the 2008-09 State Bar Board of Governors and six more will vie for seats on the CYLA Board of Directors.
CALBAR CONNECT --- A new members-only Web site, CalBar Connect, links attorneys to affinity partners who are offering value-added products to California lawyers.
MONTEREY MEETING --- The State Bar's 2008 Annual Meeting will be held September 25-28 in Monterey.
