WILDFIRE ASSISTANCE --- The State Bar has compiled a list of resources and information for victims of the southern California wildfires, and individuals and law firms who want to provide assistance.

MCLE COMPLIANCE DEADLINE --- Members of MCLE compliance group 3 - last names N through Z - face a Feb. 1, 2008, deadline to complete 25 hours of continuing education courses.

BAR EXAM APPLICANT DATA --- At its Nov. 8 meeting in Los Angeles, the Committee of Bar Examiners will review the issue of the release of confidential bar exam applicant data.

LOOK FOR YOUR DUES STATEMENT --- The annual State Bar fee statement will be mailed to active and inactive California lawyers on Nov. 15.

SEEKING PUBLIC COMMENT --- Proposals on several issues related to the practice of law have comment deadlines next week.
