INSURANCE DISCLOSURE --- Beginning January 1, lawyers who do not carry malpractice insurance must tell their clients - under most circumstances - that they are not insured.

 

FAMILY LAW PROPOSALS --- Public comment is sought by The Elkins Family Law Task Force on its proposals for improvement of family law proceedings.

 

CONFIRMED --- California Inspector General Laura Chick and Los Angeles private investigator William Gailey were confirmed by the state Senate to three-year terms as public members of the board of governors.

 

BEVERLY HILLS FEE ARB --- The State Bar Committee on Mandatory Fee Arbitration has scheduled a fee arbitration training for new and current Los Angeles arbitrators Oct. 27.

 

ATTORNEY e-MAIL ADDRESSES --- All California attorneys must provide an e-mail address to the State Bar beginning Feb. 1, 2010, under a new rule of court approved by the Supreme Court.
